A couple of people have asked me how I paint grass, one of them just recently. It's really quite simple, so I put together a quick little tutorial. Hopefully it'll be of use to some of you out there... ;)

For your information: I use Photosop Elements 7 and a brush set, which you can download from dA's leventep: [link] (there's a link in one of his journal entries)

I don't like using custom grass brushes like the ones Photoshop comes with, as anybody remotely familiar with photoshop will be able to recognize the pattern later on.

extremely helpful tutorial! Now I can make realistic-looking digital grass weather or not it's cell shaded or soft shaded without the use of ugly fake grass brushes!

Nice work! But I wouldn't have used the airbrush-pen. Try using a brush with hard edges. That should help ;)

wanted to try and make one panel look good and somewhat realistic. So Il use this one as a help. Il let you know how it went :Dthanks for a simple (looking) but good tutorial

This was a very helpful tutorial. Easy to follow and I think I've finally mastered how to color/draw grass (and it actually looks like grass O.O) lol Great job again! : D
