Uhm, well, I didn't want to upload this at first, as it's very different from my usual stuff. I wanted to try a more realistic character (at least when compared to gnomes, fairies, etc^^) and this is the result.
I used a photo as reference for the face, and I have to admit I was slightly inspired by LINK, which is absolutely stunning. I wish I were that good.
In the end I had a huge mess with at least 60 or more PS-layers... What more to say... I finished it last night, but spent another hour just fixing little things I didn't like and I'll probably find even more of those little things if I continue looking at it now
Hope you like it nonetheless. Done with PS7 + Aiptek 12000u

The beauty of life is, while we cannot undo what is done, we can see it, understand it, learn from it and change. So that every new moment is spent not in regret, guilt, fear or anger, but in wisdom, understanding and love. Jennifer Edwards
Its striking. I can see where an image like this could drive you to keep doing little touch ups over and over. But the way you did this piece really speaks of your style. Its realistic but it keeps that artistic look. Its very well done. My only suggestion is to keep working on her left hand under the ball. I hate hands, I suck at hands so I feel for you. I will say though this is very incredible piece.

Yep, hands are tough. I don't think the hand was wrong, but it was definitely an akward pose (I used my own hand as reference and tried to tilt it, so I could see it from that angle^^ - I guess that didn't work out). I found some nice reference material right here on dA: LINK. The hand looks better now, doesn't it?
The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant.
