Red Riding Hood by jerry8448 Red Riding Hood by jerry8448
Okay, I know this is not the most original idea and it's not all too christmasy, but I had fun painting it. It started out with just another forest yesterday, then went from yellow/green to blue and became darker and darker alltogether. I eventually decided to add characters and little red riding hood was the best I could come up with.

I hope you all have happy holidays. Enjoy!

~Jerry :)

hey nice pic! Could you tell me how you did it? A friend of mine asked me to draw a picture for her but I have no idear how to draw a forest like that. Is it possible with gimp because thats my programm! Do you work with lineart or with free hand? I could use your tips really good ;)

It's definitely possible with gimp, though I use Photoshop Elements. I usually start with a sketch (pencil on paper), but didn't do that here. Instead I just started with a few background colors, then painted the trees and at the very end the wolf and the girl. ;) I have a few WIP-pictures in my scraps section that might interest you.
